- What kind of PDF forms does this tool support?
- The tool supports AcroForm PDFs — the standard interactive form format used by governments, banks, insurance companies, and most businesses. It handles text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, and dropdowns. XFA forms (used by some Adobe-specific PDFs) are not supported.
- What does 'flatten' mean?
- Flattening converts the interactive form fields into static PDF content. The text you entered is embedded permanently into the document and can no longer be edited in a form viewer — it is treated as regular PDF content.
- Can I fill a form that has no AcroForm fields?
- If the PDF has no interactive fields — for example a scanned form — use the Add Text to PDF or Fill & Sign PDF tool instead to manually place text on the page.
- Is my form data safe?
- Yes. Everything is processed locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your file and your form data are never sent to any server. Close the tab and everything is discarded.
- Will the filled PDF work in Adobe Acrobat?
- Yes. The flattened PDF is a standard PDF/1.7 file that opens correctly in Adobe Acrobat, Apple Preview, Chrome's built-in PDF viewer, and most other readers.
