Common questions

Does cropping delete the content outside the crop area?
Technically, a PDF crop box only hides content — it does not permanently delete it from the file. Most viewers will show only the cropped area, but someone with the right tools can reveal the hidden content. For true removal, use the Redact PDF tool.
Can I crop different areas on different pages?
The current tool applies one crop box uniformly to all pages. Per-page cropping is planned for a future update.
How do I remove large white margins from a scanned document?
Scan documents often have wide white borders. Draw your crop rectangle tightly around the text content — excluding the white borders — and download the cropped PDF.
Will the crop be visible in all PDF viewers?
Yes — the crop box is a standard PDF property respected by Adobe Acrobat, Apple Preview, Chrome, and all major viewers. The cropped area will not be visible in normal view.
